On a whim, I ordered a 20mm silvertip brush with a lightbulb, I guess you'd call it, shaped handle from Martinez Customs. Miguel and I sent several e-mails back and forth deciding wood type, etc. As stated, it's a 20mm knot, with a 50mm loft and 50mm handle length. We agreed on a price ($60 minus a B&B discount of 15%) and I PayPaled him the funds. Literally a few hours later he sent me a picture of the completed brush...
The next morning was its maiden voyage, along with my new Mama Bear's Czar's Choice Halloween Special soap. The brush whipped up lots of lather in a very short time. The small knot diameter and relatively short loft gives it plenty of backbone, but the silvertip hair gives it that "soft yet scrubby" feel on my face. After about ten days of use this has become my go-to brush, replacing the 20mm brush I made with a Golden Nib knot. To date this brush has lost a total of five hairs...
I believe that this brush is one of the best values for the money on the market today!
