J.M. Fraser's Mosswood Shaving Cream

Price
$11 for 8 oz. this is about as affordable as a high end cream can get.

Scent
The Mosswood scent is nice and warming, maybe my favourite scent. It is not overwhelming and if anything I would like it to be just a little stronger even though it already is strong. (I admit that this is the one cream I have that makes it tough to resist a quick sniff of the brush afterwords.)

Latherability
The lather is nice and creamy. It does not become fluffy and luxurious, but turns into a thicker paste that protects well.

Efficacy
I am a fan of both Uberlather and Superlathers. I have yet to mix Fraser's with anything at all. It does not seem like there is a soap that can be mixed with this cream and improve the overall shave. The cream is perfect by itself.

Moisturizing Properties

If Fraser's cream lacks anything, it is slickness. It makes up for this in moisture and protection.

Packaging
Name stamped on a clear white container - perfect! I don't like paying xtra for fancy containers or coulored stickers that bleed and come off. Notice that this is a 8 oz container (bigger than most other creams).
The container is tall and skinny (compared to others). I like to use my 22mm Finest with Fraser's and have no problems loading in the cream (I just pinch the badger bloom a little to get it into the container). However, I feel like a wider knot on a shorter handle may get tricky when the container nears the bottom.

I really like this cream. It produces a slick, dense lather that works great with a straight razor. It smells great, but a little to strong for me personally. I prefer just a faint wiff of scent. This is the only thing I can fault this cream on and it's just a personal preference. It's a great shaving cream.

If you enjoy the scent of Booster's Mosswood After Shave, you will love this shaving cream.

It lathers just like the original Fraser's but it has the great Mosswood scent I have been using this cream exclusively for about a week, and wish I had bought two tubs, not one.

The price on this was just under $10 US for a 225 ml tub.

The quality is outstanding, just as we have come to expect from Fraser's.

I happen to love the scent of the Mosswood After Shave and this is exactly like the after shave, so I gave it a ten.

T&H Grafton is a 10 for latherability. This does not lather that well, but it gives you a slick lather which does lubricate and moisten.

The packaging can be described as austere and spartan - but you're not buying this because the package is pretty. You're buying this because you love the scent of Mosswood, and enjoy the latherability and efficacy of the cream.
