Item Description
This cream is very slick. If used properly with the water to cream ratio just right it gives an excellent shave. However, it doesn't lather quite as easily as Taylors or Trumpers. Basically, you have to work it a but more and it looks a little slick and goopy in the shaving mug once lathered. I'm assuming the slick component to the cream is from extra glycerin and using less coconut oil. This is not a very fatty cream. The scent is fine, nothing funky like their aftershave balm (which I hated). Moisturizing is okay, it's definitely not drying but I wouldn't call it super moisturizing or anything like that. Overall I like this cream and might consider buying a jar. The downsides are price and the fact that this cream takes a bit more work to lather and get the cream/water ratio just right.
I have since bought a jar of this cream. After a few more shaves, I'd rate this very highly and might just use it exclusively if it weren't so expensive. Another major downside is that I find I use a bit more cream to get the best shaves out of this compared to other creams. Still, I highly recommend checking this one out to add to your rotation. Especially if you have sensitive skin and like a slick, protective cream with lots of razor glide.
