Ecotools Bamboo Brush

Pros: Cheap, very soft, holds lather well
Cons: Bamboo handle isn't holding up well
I have this model and it's in my regular rotation. Very soft, not at all skritchy, and enjoyable to use. It isn't in the same class as a silvertip, but really quite nice: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=346403&catid=183638&aid=338666&aparam=346403

You could just cut the handle, no?

-Andy
Very soft and affordable (I paid about 10 usd S&H to Holland included). I like badgers a lot, so I'm glad they can keep their hair :wink2:The only thing I would like to see is a bit shorter handle, but apart from that just great.

Whoa there! My second brush was also a makeup brush from my wife, but it was a stubby wide soft brush from bare minerals. Every thing you said I agree with and will add that the stubby one makes a great travel brush. It dries quickly and takes up almost no room in a shave kit. It worked well with glycerin soaps, tallow soaps, and creams with only mild adjustments in technique. I'm glad you posted this first, though, I was having a little difficulty reconciling the fact that I was using a makeup brush.
I bought this brush at Wallymart just to see if it works.
Suprise suprise the above reviewer is correct. The brush is synthetic, I believe
it is made of Taklon and hold water and lather well.
I tried other brushes made with goat hair and sable (kabuki brush) and though they did hold water very well, they did not lather so don't waste your money on these.

I received this brush as gift from my wife, after constantly complaining about the pricks and irritation caused by my (Tweezerman) badger brush.
I have sensitive skin and this was as soft and dense brush as I've found.

In comparison to a well known badger brush brand (Tweezerman) this brush doesn't have the advantages of exfoliating, but on the other had it doesn't unnecessarily gop as much lather as the Tweezerman.

Pros: Price, Extremely soft, never pricks, never irritates, never sheds, comfortable to hold and has a long handle (which could be a con to some of you guys) and is available at your local Target, Walgreen, CVS for $6.99 (?!)

This bad-boy hold a lot of lather, I mixed hot water and 1 OZ of KOS gel and it literally held all of it, and the spread felt like the warms soft hands of a masseuse.

Cons: Make-up brush, long handle.

Let's face it, this is/looks like your girlfriends/wife's Make-Up brush but who cares? this is a brush with very little downsides to it, so enjoy your shave and thank me later
