I thoroughly enjoy these reviews; time to do my bit. Pictured is the Simpson's E3 Emperor in super badger. It stands 115mm tall with a 22mm knot. The bristle is of the upland silvertip type, although there are a couple of grey solids in the knot that keep it from being 100% uniform. The white tips extend some 15-17mm down the bristle and are NOT of the hooked, "split end" variety. It generates excellent lather with the soaps; I didn't think I could get such a thick, rich lather with...

After spooning over this custom, limited run Shavemac brush, I finally got my hands on one and let me say, it's incredible. Every aspect of this brush is sexy, from its curves to the way it hangs on the stand, it is a 5-star, two thumbs up winner. It is Bernd's work at its finest and this brush has all the bells & whistles. Made of Cocobola wood, this wood handle has a beautiful burgandy, merlot red hue to it and the rings of the grain show through nicely. The Badger hair is genuine...

A dildo by any other name…. is still a dildo. This shaving brush – simply put, looks like some sort of wacky sex toy/dildo. WITHOUT question – this is the ugliest, cheapest, most fallace shaving brush in existence. Truly an embarrassment to have sit out on your counter. When you put this sucker in your hand… the first thing that races across your mind (aside from bracing yourself for the vibrations and cheesy porno beats to kick in) is how unnatural, heavy, and “weird” the handle feels...

EDIT: 6/16/06 - Shavemac now uses a different kind of bristle - once much softer which I personally do not care for as much as the bristle described in this review. Just a forewarning. Gents, First of all.... let me say HATS OFF to shavemac.de I am truly astonished at the level of service provided. Without a moments hesitation I would and will order from them again. It was simply and astounding experience!! I would like to point out, shipping from Germany was $12..... BUT the damn thing...

Gents, A member sent me 3 Rooney brushes (all new, and all prototypes) to test and review. It is important to note - two of them are older prototypes (the faux ivory handled one - and the one I am testing in the pics) The last one - which has a shavemac/plisson shaped head is VERY recent brush - and should be most similar to what is to be seen on the market. Regardless - the silvertip is the identical silvertip to be offered - so for purpose of reviewing the brush and its performance -...

Gents, After a 10 minute borax soak, a shampoo and conditioning, the Polo softened up quite a bit and was ready for action. Here are some pics.... Soaking the polo 12 super in boiling h20 from the hot pot. Loading up with CF Lavender Loaded with a couple of honking' globs of CF 30 stirs and it isn't to my liking Opened the "breech" and stuck some more cream in there. There was plenty of h20 in the brush - not enough cream. 15-20 more stirs and I was where I wanted to be...

Howdy All, I’ve been using my Savile Row ‘big ***’ brush that I got from QED for about two weeks now, so I thought I’d write a review. The brush’s product ID is “SR12T” (however QED has it listed under “SR212”). It’s a super badger brush with a 30mm knot, and a nice faux-tortoise handle that’s a translucent amber. Now for some pictorial goodness: The brush: Some close-ups: An overhead shot: Next to a quarter for comparison to show how big this darned thing is...

I have been wanting a good travel brush for some time - but simply refused to even consider paying their going price - as it would only be used for travel, and I do not travel much. When the ashford sale rolled around, I couldn't help myself, as it was such a screaming deal..... Box... Back of box... Open Box... Unwrapped from Tissue... Out of box... In Hand... "Open" Bottom so as to allow the brush to dry... Back of "tube"... Twisting...
