This razor is sold on Amazon for $10.99 with free shipping. It comes with to packs of Derby blades in a and unassuming black box. This razor is heavy, the handle is worth the price three times over. The two plates for the head are well done, and the blade exposure is enough for a moderately aggressive, but smooth shave. Due to it's heft, care must be taken in your technique. But, I am amazed at the quality of this product for such a low price. It is made in Pakistan.

This is a three piece razor from Maggard Razors that will cost you under $16.00 and will give you a first class shave. There is good weight and balance. The top plates have to be aligned carefully to make sure the blade exposure is even. This is easily done, but it must be mentioned . I would consider it mildly aggressive, but you we'll find it hard to believe you can get such a great shave from a razor as inexpensive as this.

So, I started shaving with a double edge about a year and a half ago now (I'm a long time lurker here at B&B) and for the first 6 months I got my technique down using the Merkur 34C HD. It's a great blade but the entire time I was thinking that I could get a more aggressive shave. After looking around and antiquing multiple times I never found a fat boy (still looking for one at a decent price), so I looked into the adjustable razors on the market. This left me between the Progress...

This razor is a stainless steel butterfly open double edge razor that is made in China. I wanted a spare double edge to place in an emergency shave kit. I went into a barber supply store and bought it for $4.95. It looked like the Welshi model that is being sold in the Micro-One as Seen on TV. In looking at them side by side it is not the same. It is lighter, thinner and the top rattles until it's twisted shut. Today, I needed to use it for the first time. I used a Personna blade...

An inexpensive, chrome over brass butterfly razor. This razor defies what we have learned in economics. Here we have a product which is more carefully crafted out of better materials that sells for less than half of what lesser products sell for. Not only is the product a bargain in terms of what it is and how it's made, but it also shaves aggressively, with no irritation while giving the impression that you're sampling one of the finest razors available at any price. Bravo to the company...

Mühle's latest addition to the shaving world is the R89 TWIST, a two-piece variation of the R89's original three-piece design. Nearly every wet shaver is familiar with the R89—a modern day classic. The razor was originally developed by Andreas Müller of Mühle, Neil Jagger of Edwin Jagger and a small team of select craftsmen from both houses. The head they designed is common to all Mühle R89 and Edwin Jagger DE89xx razors. The head is the standard component that is paired with over three...

Here goes.....My first ever internet review! I have always hated shaving because i have sensitive skin and sometimes just looking in my shaving mirror causes razor burn! I purchased the Weishi 9306C as part of a beginners bundle on ebay. I've never used DE razors before and so far i have been impressed. The TTO mechanism seems to work quite nicely and when closed, the razor feels very sturdy. After taking some time to play with the shaving angle I found that i got a great smooth...

Having begun my journey only three months ago, I am reluctant to write reviews, but maybe my experience could help others new to traditional wet shaving. My Maggard MR10 is my third safety razor. After a month using a Merkur 33c, I gave in to the lure of a Slant, likely too soon for my technique. When I learned of Maggard Razors, a brick and mortar shaving supplier not too far from my in my home state, I had to visit. I had previously ordered from them online and experienced their...

This is the first safety razor that I purchased this past summer when I was introduced to this sort of thing. I had no idea what "aggressiveness" meant, "open comb" or Closed Comb" and I am still very new to the hobby. I do have opinions about this though after about 4 months of wet shaving. I can't imagine starting to wet shave with a razor any better than this one. There are probably many that would equal it, but this is about as forgiving a razor out there, in...

The traditional safety razor with replaceable blade is regarded by many as the first mechanical razor for self-shaving. At MÜHLE it is more: a minor miracle of precision, ergonomics and beauty, created for ambitious wet shavers. Our design combines high-quality metal-working (chrome-plating) with an extremely fine engraved finish. The model comes in two versions (closed and open comb) as every beard growth, every type of facial skin is individual – and the same applies to personal...

I like the original R41 very much. I've shaved with it 450 times and have had drawn blood only a half-dozen times. I love the shave quality and get BBS results whenever I have the time for a slow and deliberate shave. I can't rush it and need to maintain my concentration. If I don't have the time, or if I have too much on my mind, I use my 35C. The R41 2013 I can use quickly without being concerned for cuts or irritation. I can approach the shave in a more carefree manner, without need for...

I found this Gillette safety razor in a bigger Chinese supermarket and it was priced really fair, just about 7.9 yuan when I saw it first. The first time I saw it I only bought the blades, because in that time I wasnt so crazy off shaving yet that I would buy more then one razor. However now I like to score some nice deals, even if I not need it, so this time when I went back to China again I bought one when I was inside a supermarket that sold it. It costed me 8.5 yuan, which is...

This stainless steel razor is a remarkable achievement, especially since this is the first razor system offered by a very young company. It is designed, engineered and manufactured in the United States by an American company using U.S. steel. The manufacturing detail and quality control are competitive with high-grade razor manufacturer worldwide. Above the Tie's first entry into providing a stainless steel razor system deserves a close look by serious shavers everywhere.
