I got a pack of 5 of these as a free gift when I bought other blades on ebay. I'd never heard of them, or almost never, and didn't expect much. But I was pleasantly surprised - pretty damn good blades! They've used the variables in an interesting way: these blades are softer in their spring, so, even though they project almost as much as a Feather (yes, you read right), they aren't rough at all - they seem to tighten down "farther", and I think this reduces/eliminates any "chattering"...
Straight out of Ho Chi Minh Vietnam comes Gillette Super Thin Platinum blades. These are new production and most likely made in Vietnam. I ordered some of these from German Ebay and price for pack of five blades was just under 0,50 EUR. Package is made out of paper is nice ecological and blades are double wrapped. This must be the only good point using these :) I tried these on Gillette slim, Gillette Rocket, Merkur HD and on Merkur Futur. This blade wasnt good on any of these razors...
I got a really nice shave this and the other morning using these blades. They seem heavier than an individual DE blade but they do NOT appear to look like two individual blades stacked on top of each other as the photo does. My camera doesn't have the ability to take close up photos so I can't get one, but I might be able to get a scan of one. The center of the blade seems to be as thin as a regular DE but when it moves to the edge there are clearly two blade edges. The bottom "edge"...
The Spanish made Helios blade, i have fairly sensative skin, so when a blade isnt smooth, i notice it, with irritation and nicks, and when i used this blade with the 38c, thats what happened, but the vision made me change my mind, the vision is a milder razor when set to 0, which makes it a nice razor for shaper blades, as i said, it took me a while to find the right razor for this blade, but by no means did it resolved all the problems, it does have some roughness to it that you...

Out of Japan comes a DE blade not a Feather. I received these as part of a sampler pack from poster dridiot (Jason). The packaging, as can be seen, is minimal on marketing. The blades themselves come wrapped in plain paper and the blade has no marking at all. From my research on this company, Kai (or this division) makes surgical blades. One of their areas is 'blade prep', for which they offer disposable razors. This leads me to believe the company either offers these blades for...

I just picked up 50 of these guys from our own Dridiot over on the shopping forum and I must say they might just replace my red pack Personnas as my blade of choice. They are sharper than the Personnas - very close to Feathers. And they are very smooth. Even my chin is BBS with very little effort needed. They aren't as cheap as the red packs - they cost approximated twice as much. They also don't seem to last as long - I can get 3 comfortable shaves out of one, rather than the 5-6 out...

Finally a product that nobody has reviewed yet. My grandfather gave these to me a couple of months ago. I've been using them ever since. I did some research on the internet and found out these are the old Wilkinson Classics. You can't buy these in stores anymore. But The Barberschop Classic Shop (Holland) still has them and is selling their old stock in one lot of blades (175). I must say these are good blades and I absolutely love the retro packaging. I'm not sure how old these blades are...
For me these blades are mediocre at best. They work just fine in my 59' Fatboy, but are entirely different in my Ranger Tech. I have to reserve them for the Fatboy. They seem to drag in my lighter weighted razors. So, this is a little warning for everyone. As with most of Treets DE Blades they are individually wrapped and in packs of 10.

These blades are some of the smoothest I've ever tried. I would rank these above IP blades for smoothness. They are treated with a non-stick coating to increase smoothness. They're nice and sharp for me and seem to last 5 shaves (I usually get 3 with IP blades). The only thing I'm not crazy about is the packaging. They come individually wrapped and in packs of 5. I enjoy the blade dispensers over the individually wrapped blades. In any case, I plan to keep these in my rotation...

I've found these blades to be very smooth in my Gillette Ranger Tech. I would consider them to be about the same as Israeli Personnas (IPs) for sharpness and smoothness. They were also double the price of the IP Blades. The blades I purchased came individually wrapped in wax paper, paper, and in small boxes of 5 blades. I've shared a few of these blades with some co-workers who really enjoyed them (Moreso than me). They thought these blades worked far better than IPs for them. I would...
These are the best single edge blades I've used so far. They cost a little more than GEMs, but they last longer and are smoother than GEMs. They're also packaged inside a blade dispenser/bank instead of individually wrapped. I've used them with two different Micromatics, a G-Bar, and a Featherweight all with the same results. ==Tom

This is the second last pack of blades to try in the West Coast Shaving sampler pack, and so far they are my second favorite, the best being the Feathers. They are however a lot less money than Feathers, and much easier to get. The shave is smooth and gentle in my ball end Tech, and no nicks with these guys. They seem even smoother and more forgiving than Derbys or Crystals. They aren't as sharp as a Feather, but seem sharper than Derbys. It takes less effort to get BBS at the base of...
Hema is a Dutch chain of department stores with stores in almost every Dutch town or city of any significance. They have stores in Amsterdam and Rotterdam but also in such towns as Heiloo and Dedemsvaart  This means that finding these blades is very easy. Hema is known for their quality products and relatively low prices. The Hema DE blades are no exception. At €1,35 a 10 pack they are far from expensive. The quality isn't bad either, I still don't know which company is behind...
Some of my favourite blades (Gillette Silver Blue and Nacet) have come from the Czech Republic, and so, when I purchased these blades from a B&B member I was looking foward to a good shave. The blades look just like those from the 1910s, 20s before the modern design developed. I like the look of these blades, but their performance (or lack thereof) is something entirely different. I have rated both blades, as they are both pretty much identical in my opinion. [NOTE] The Tiger blades...

Honestly, I fail to see or feel the difference between this one and the Stainless version. Am I too much a newbie? The blade looks the same, the blades shave the same. Mind you, that is not bad, or at least it was not bad for me. I actually liked the Lord Stainless very much (untill I got my hands on the Chrome version that is). Now I like that one a lot better. But the difference between the Stainless and the Platinum as far as I can tell is the Derby (and many others) alike...

This is the Chrome version of the stainless Lord Blade . It is sharper, but less durable. The first couple (2-3)of shaves are fine/great, but then they go downhill (fast). For one or two pass approach, they still perform good, but the 3rd (ATG) is not good enough (on the third shave that is). I would rank them sharper than Derby's, and sharper than everything else I have tried so far but not having tried feather, I would not dare to rank them as very sharp. Maybe someone else can...

These are the best blades for anyone who has sensitive skin. It protects you from cuts and nicks and gives you a great shave. The blade lasts at least 10. Any other blade simply cuts up my skin and I bleed profusely. Not so with Schick Protector blades. The 10 little wires that cover the blades provide just the right protection while allowing you to get a great shave. Unfortunately, they do not make these blades any longer but you can still get them from 1 or 2 places on the Web.
I've been wetshaving for almost two months now. I have listened to the advice of many good people here at B&B who've recommended to remove variables when comparing items for review. I've kept the same steps for all my shaves, CO Bigelow (proraso) as pre-shave, hot shower, 3pass shave with 1940's SuperSpeed WTG, XTG, ATG. I finish with nivea sensitive skin aftershave balm. The only variable that has changed are blades...oh the blades. I must say that I thought the rest of the B&B members were...

Price: $16/100 from Sabledog(get 'em while they're hot!) Quality: Made by Proctor Gamble(Gillette) in Russia; probably the blade they should sell here but don't-along with the Swedes. Sharpness: Sharp enough to get the job done w/o tearing up your face. Longevity: Since this was my first shave with them, we'll have to see how they hold up. Smoothness of Shave: This is where this blade really shines-after my shave was over, it felt like I had not been shaving! Now this could have...
The blades are cheap enough. They are stainless, and come in standard packaging with the push to slide out dispenser. These are 5 for $1. I used my SuperSpeed to shave with, along with my standard prep of hair conditioner, hot shower, and a towel soak for two minutes. I've shaved with this blade for four days, two passes each shave, I'm ready to change the blade out. Maybe I"m expecting too much for the price, but I'd like to change out on the same day every week. I do admit however, that...
