This classic AS made in Stuttgart, Germany since many decades contains all sorts of natural ingredients to take care of a wetshavers face: fermentation alcohol (no napalm-like burn here), orange blossom water, citrus oils, lavender, menthol, camphor, alum (who needs the block?), liquid wax and, of course, the famous valeriana celtica (speick-plant) extract. The scent is pure heaven IMO: a combination of orange blossom, lavender and herbaceous and woodsy notes. Lingers for two hours. Same...

This balm is very good: a great dry scent which lasts many hours on me, good moisturizing properties and a very classy packaging (a rubberized heavy glass bottle). Excellent for layering with other sandalwood products, but also very good in combination with other scents (for instance: GFT's coconut oil or Bronnley's samphire shaving cream). I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. A bit pricey perhaps?
Bronnley's new balm is magic: it soothes and moisturizes in the most perfect way. Almond oil, shea butter and samphire extract are combined to truly pamper facial skin. Scent is mildy fresh and almost neutral, doesn't linger and thus can be combined with other manufacturer's products. layered with Bronnley's samphire soap and shaving cream is an extraordinary experience: smooth, soft and clean skin without the slightest hint of redness or irritation. The balm is also a very good general...
Bronnley have definitely hit the bullseye with this cream. Easily produced and very thick lather, an interesting scent (almonds with some fresh, more marine-ish notes) and fantastic moisturizing properties (In good Bronnley soap tradition the cream contains sweet almond oil, but also samphire -a kind of marine plant). Packaging is nice as well: a very heavy blue glass jar. On the lid a picture of a rocky beach and the sea: more modern than the classical packaging of three T's, but still...
This is it: the glorious Trumper rose soap. A couple of years ago I purchased and used this product without really knowing much about wetshaving with soap and brush. After numerous lather experiments with cheaper soaps and a lot of reading on B&B I've recently managed to use it with great succes. It truly is a fantastic soap: PRICE: OK, really expensive but definitely long lasting. For me it's a matter of indulging in luxury a few times a week. I even could imagine making this an...

To be short, this stuff is great: smells good, is very effective and quite cheap. The scent is a true classic: very clean and fresh, same as the soap, slightly more leatherish and less floral than the cologne, definitely a lot less floral than the EDT (which I don't like). Downside is that the aroma is so powerful that IMO you can't really use it with other heavily scented soaps or creams. Tabac splash also takes care of your skin a lot more than other alcohol based aftershaves: burn is...
This Sandalwood soap seems to be widely used but in my opinion a little underappreciated. So what is good about it? It smells good, lathers nicely and takes care of your face in the most gentle, comforting manner (thanks to the added vitamin E ). Yes, it certainly isn't as exclusive as Trumpers or others but does it give a less good shave? No, shaves are great, time and again, and my face never feels dry as with many other brands. To sum up: just a great workhorse shave soap.
