That indeed is a great looking razor @M14Shooter. :001_tongu

@6Cuda6 - I was just doing my own "research" few days ago and Maggards has some Aust shoulderless ones in stock, maybe check them out.
Thanks for the heads up.....i have a Dovo "Carre" but want to broaden my horizons with others and had/have no idea of others ...till now of course....lol.

Show me your shoulderless razors....im thinking of chasing one.
Shoulderless razors? I love them and got quite a few. Recently I got my greedy paws upon another one, a Swedish Hellberg. On a scale from 1 to 10 I'd give it an 8, since it has been honed, but it's still close to being pristine. I already had one exactly like it. I bought it specifically to give to you for you being such a fantastic member of B&B and one of those friends I've never met in person. Since I already have one it won't be a hole in my small razor collection. I would be most honoured if you accept this small but fine example of a Swedish shoulderless razor. All I need is your address.

And not sure if this one counts ... No stabilizers, but a sharp transition to the tang width... Is it considered "shoulderless"?

Nice collection! I am intrigued with the scales on the Torry Our 136. Does the raised area act as a stop to limit how far the blade sits into the scales or was there some crazy fad back in the day?

I was intrigued by those bits as well. With the razor in hand I believe that they serve to "lock" the blade closed when folded into the scales. I've heard them referred to as "blade stops", but I think "blade lock" would be more appropriate.

I have seen them on a couple of razors on eBay, not only Torrey razors. And not all "Our 136" razors seem to sport them.

Ah, interesting, thanks for solving the mystery for me.

I have never seen the "Our 136" before. What a nice looking razor! Of course they are all nice and I do love shoulderless razors but a Torrey shoulderless is something special.

Thank you. I really like the lines on this razor and it shaves very sweetly.

But ... The tang narrows almost to an edge on the bottom, with only a ridge making contact with your thumb. The tang narrows even more than my Frameback and makes it a bit tough to control the angle of the blade with a traditional WTG grip.

There are many more . Some in other locations or in the to do pile.
Love this style of blade.
Also have many without heavy shoulders and a majority of the shaft is hollowed out.
