oh its a synthetic allright, but mine was with pics of the handle only, and the knot too... so i was quite surprised...I strongly believe it's synthetic, not badger as advertised. Still, when broken in it's not a bad little brush.
i used steam for the first time, so i was able to save both the knot and handle, but it took an hour of steaming...Was it difficult to remove the knot?
