I am blown away by the quality of wildlife photos in this thread (and the forum in general). By comparison, while not a bad shot, I didn't have time to adjust the camera focus to the cardinal that visited my yard the other day. Not a bad shot, but the tree got the focus and not the bird:

B&B membership has its percs
Ok, not the best shot. This hawk was found in the backyard, standing on and tearing at an adult mallard - the wing is visible at the hawk's feet. He was 18 to 20" high. My best guess is Red-Tailed Hawk - he got away when I opened the doorwall to get a better shot.
