Use caution if you come across any of that Kora-Konia stuff. Apparently it was a mix of borated talc and powered zinc stearate. The latter ingredient is not acutely toxic but has been associated with respiratory problems.
I have a tin of the Mennen Talc form the early 60's which is half full. My Father used to use it when he gave me a hair cut when I was a kid.
Never quite sure what to do with it...brings back some good memories though when I look at it.

My old Mennen Talc has a side label stating discount for servicemen,I think it is WW2 era ,and perhaps commissary issue...Check this link for great talcum of the past.. http://antiqueadvertising.com/product-category/powdertalcum-tin/page/5/
