There's nothing magic about Scrubbing Bubbles, it's just the most common brand available here. Any foaming bathroom cleanser will do.

I've read that vinegar can damage nickel plating. Is this not correct?

Yeah so I've read, but in some bathroom cleaners there are ingredients that can damage plating which is why I wanted to ask first [emoji4]

The dose makes the poison. Keep the exposure brief and you can get away with just about anything. Soak it overnight and you can get into trouble with just about anything.
