I'm in the minority here, but I've always preferred thin. Probably because it's what I grew up with. And it is easier to cook. But thick bacon is great too.

But seriously, like some mentioned, it depends. Often thick, sometime thin.
With egg? Thick.
With/on pancakes? Thin.

I prefer it thin. Btw i eat it with Rösti. I guess that and Hash Brown is kind of the same thing or very close?! Add a can of corn and a lot of chili sauce. And you have my lunch atleast 3 days a week. My woman cant understand that i never get tired of it.
