What's new

Only One of Each: Brush, Soap/Cream/Razor/Blade/AS

If, for some reason (Congress?) you could only have one of everything for shaving every day for the next 2 years, which would you choose?

Brush
Cream or Soap
Razor
Blade
Aftershave

For me:
Omega Boar
KMF Mint
EJ R89L
Astra SP
Alcolado Glacial

Here is my list if it applies to Canada

Brush: RV shaving custom finest
Soap: This is a tough one between Cade and Vintage os. Going to have to pick the Vintage Old Spice
Razor: Fatboy
Blade: Astra SP
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice blue

Vintage Ever-Ready 300
Vintage Williams (I have enough for 2 years+)
1912 Gem Damaskeene
Treet carbon steel
Vintage Shulton Old Spice cologne

Sense a theme here?

Are there more than one "vintage williams"? I have the tallow second version...just wondering if that's the good one.

I haven't tried too many brushes, so I'd just stay with my Vulfix 2234 because it's great with creams, which is what I'd pick...here goes.

Vulfix 2234
Truefitt & Hill 1805
British Flair Tip
Medical Personna
Nivea Sensitive

Razor: Mergress
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: SOC
Soap: Cella
Cream: TOBS Jermyn
AS: Nivea Sensitive Balm

...and heaven help us if it ever comes to this! :w00t:

Nope, that's the current formula. The vintgae boxes lists tallow first, or in the case of really old ones there's no ingredients list at all.

J. A. Henckels 6/8" full hollow ground, spike point straight
Vintage EverReady 500pb reknotted with a TGN 20mm Fan shaped Super Badger
Tabac shave soap (prefer to superlather with Tabac cream but the soap is the important part)
Alt-Innsbruck Cologne/Aftershave

Brush Restored Everready
Cream CF Lime
Soap MWF / P160 Duro
Razor 5/8 Solingen / Gillette Fatboy
Blade Feather
Aftershave Floid.

I answered a similar thread a couple of days ago by refusing to commit to just one razor, but what the heck. I'm only consistent some of the time.:001_rolle

Tweezerman badger
Williams soap
Schick adjustable injector (reasonable compromise)
Modern Schick injector blade
No aftershave (hey, can I add another razor if I don't use this stuff?)

This is pretty easy because I have a pretty minimalist shave den to begin with ...

Brush: Rooney 1/1 Super Silvertip
Cream TOBS Avocado
Soap Cella
Razor Bob's Bull Mastiff Deluxe w/ NEW short combs
Blade Derby
Aftershave Weleda AS Balm

Answer #1:

Omega Boar Brush
Cella soap
40s SS razor
Astra SP blades
Aqua Velva Musk AS

Answer #2:

Omega Boar Brush
MWF soap
Ball-handled Tech, rectangular slots
Gillette 7-O'Clock PermaSharp blades (green box, made in India)
Mennen Skin Bracer

I could go with either of those setups, or some combination thereof.

Brush: Truefitt and Hill Silvertip
Cream or Soap: Prorasso or Tabac
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Gillette Black Pack Platinum Indians
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud
