Indeed. Some (like Derby) will remove several layers of skin for that ‘dermabrasion experience.’I agree they all shave. Some provide quirky added features as well.

Mine’s heading here in the mail. The standard Fatip Grande/Piccolo open comb razors attempt some semblance of a thick cap Old Type, I think.
I’m thinking Rockwell 6s, plate 4 with either Shark Super Chrome or possibly Gillette silver blues. I just got 25 for $5 and not sure if they’re good or not. They are single wrapped, not double.
I have used a 78 black handled Super Speed exclusively since August 2012. I have used several other razors that I used for a few years before that . I would be happy just using that Super Speed ,. A shark or astra blade would do me fine .
I never tried Derby. But if they were really that bad, why is the average score on Amazon 4.6/5 (>7,000 votes)? I cannot believe it's all troll-votes...Indeed. Some (like Derby) will remove several layers of skin for that ‘dermabrasion experience.’
It would probably be my '80 Gillette black handle Super Speed and Personna Lab blue blades. Its just such an easy, smooth, no fuss shave.I'll kick it off.Lupo.95 Nacet.View attachment 1318035
