Today was a special shave for me - and a birthday shave no less. I nearly skipped it, but changed my mind late in the evening. I went with my 1962 Gillette Slim for the first time since I messed up my face with it when first starting out nearly 12 years ago.

Razor: Gillette Slim on #7
Blade: Fresh feather
Brush: Yaqi cola (not pictured)
Soap: MdC Agrumes - first try, and it's fantastic, both in slickness and scent
AS: Clubman Brandy spice mixed with Fine Snake Bite for a bit of a chill
A mouse to keep me company

Such a different experience than my first attempt. WTG+XTG and cleanup. A refreshing DFS.

- Simplex three-piece military razor circa 1942-44. The razors were procured by the Chief Quartermaster of the European Theater of Operations during WW II - Stock No. 29-R-1035. The razor cap is metal, base plate and handle plastic. Mfg by the Federal Razor Blade Co. of New York. Razor weight 0.94 oz.

NOTE: One of the smoothest shavers in my collection. Amazing.
