Real or Clone Gillette Superspeed

Can someone verify if this is a real Gillette Superspeed or a clone.Person says it has a A 4 DATE on it.

I don't see Gillette stamped on the razor or the date code.

It's a Weishi. Not even comparable with the Gillette.

I think that's a matter of opinion since that weishi model is a direct copy of a Gillette super speed. And some of those weishi's are solid brass and pretty decent quality. But I do agree an original vintage super speed is simply better.

The Weishi it not a direct copy of a Gillette Super-Speed, far too many differences including the mechanics (which are cheap an mediocre at best with the weishi -- that's why they have the characteristic sound and rattle).

Again that's strictly a matter of opinion. That weishi was my first DE. I found it to be a fine and capable DE razor. And pretty much an identical shave to the super speed i later purchased. But No doubt the super speed is simply better.

That is a clone. Some of the clones don't shave like the originals, either more mild or more aggressive. Personally, I haven't found a clone I really liked. I would recommend getting an original.
