The Lupo is not trying to be a bootleg of the Tradere, it is trying to be a bootleg of the Wolfman WR-1. Hence the name Lupo.
Lupo = Wolf in Italian
I know this is off topic, but I wish all razor manufacturers would employ the same blade tab coverage as shown in the RR Lupo design above. It allows the corner of the blade to get close in the really tight spots around the face while making it impossible to nick yourself with a blade tab.

The real one is extremely expensive. The so-called knock-off is not a cheap Chinese Zamac clone; it is a CNC-machined all stainless steel razor that is made in Canada.
The Lupo design is nothing like the Tradere, save for the fact that it’s a 3-piece DE razor. What am I missing here?

I don't find RR's Lupo to be a Tradere knock-off. I enjoy both, but the Tradere is a very different beast. I will say, I like my Lupo and GC heads on my spare Tradere handle.
