Brush: Semogue Torga-C3 Finest Mistura 22/49 (56)
Soap: TFS Tabacum Crepito (3)
Razor: Mühle stainless R41 head on custom olive wood handle (3)
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome (3)
ASL: Clubman VIBR (21 and menthol added)

Another good shave.

BUT... three shaves in and I'm getting bored with the stainless R41. The only reason I got the stainless steel version was for its manufacturing accuracy. (Like an old [favorite] boss of mine used to say: "If it's spot on it'll be rough enough.") Sure, it's better than the original (2013) Zamac version but it still retains the typical Mühle/EJ (way too big for my preference) clamp distance.

I've trained myself to get good shaves with this sort of razor, but in my heart I'm still a lover of clamp-that-blade-rigid razors.

Ah well, like anything else, being a pedantic git has its plus and minus points. :001_rolle :letterk1:

Happy shaves guys. :cornut:

Razor: ATT Aluminum Bamboo SE1
Blade: Schick Proline (D3)
Brush: EJ XL Horn Silvertip Fibre
Bowl: Symmetrical Pottery
Pre-Shave Scrub: MRGO Lime
Pre-Shave Oil: AOS Bergamot Neroli
Shave Cream: AOS Bergamot Neroli
Balm: Handmade Soap Co. Soothing
Aftershave: Extro Rasoio E Pennello Summer 2015

Well, since I managed to post yesterday’s shave in last week’s thread I figured I’d at least correct that mistake:

Monday shave

21FDDF15-F747-4A61-B864-EED126ADF076.jpeg

Prep: PAA Ice Cube 2.0
Soap: DG La Petite Prairie
Brush: Vulfix Grosvenor mixed badger/boar
Razor: Timeless .68 and .95, matte SS, #7 for each
Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel, #4 and binned
Post: alum -> hyaluronic acid -> DG La Petite Prairie aftershave

And now back to our live programming...

Tuesday shave

A0A96C47-9B66-4349-9F1D-38B0BC756FEA.jpeg

Prep: Curology Cleanser
Soap: Stirling Coconut Lime
Brush: Karve badger
Razor: Timeless .95, matte SS, #8
Blade: Kai, #2
Post: alum -> hyaluronic acid -> Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin aftershave

Two passes + neck touch-ups for an all-around DFS. Noticeable feedback from the alum. The Kai has been the least comfortable blade with this razor, but it was still an enjoyable shave.

Razor: Fatip Lo Storto Originale Slant “FOCS”
Enjoyable as usual
Blade: Gillette London Bridge (3)
Smooth and close blade, I enjoy it. Rate it just below my favourites but still is great. This blade felt slightly better in the Timeless over the FOCS, although still really good in the FOCS
Bowl: Captain’s Choice Copper Lather Bowl (Heavyweight)

Brush: Grizzly Bay “Neptune Hurricane” with 26mm Thäter 2-Band Silvertip (Bulb)

Enjoy this knot, makes a quick and great lather in a bowl with excellent flow through, no hogging lather. Has right amount of backbone and softness of tips. The 45 degree flutes on the handle make it easy to grip and comfy to hold
Lather: Dr Jon’s Hydra
Makes a ton of lather, slightly less slickness and post shave feel from my top performers but still really good. Smells great, if you want nothing but tons of citrus, this is your soap
Post-shave:
• Omega Alum Stick
• Dr Jon’s Hydra Aftershave Tonic

Enjoy the burn of the alcohol that transitions to the cooling of the menthol, feels great
• Barrister and Mann Unscented Aftershave Balm
Feels great, very hydrating, absorbs well and not greasy
Result:
Fantastic 2 pass shave, 10 / 10. DFS with no cuts, weepers, irritation, redness, tugging, bumps / ingrowns

Greetings,

A early morning returning to work shave after been furloughed since early December 2020...I'm now on permanent dayshift for the foreseeable future, and for the next 5-6 weeks the returning furloughed workers are on a 3 day 8 hour shift rota due to covid-19 UK working regulations. So this week i work for the next two days then I am off until the following Monday!...Anyway it'll be good for me to get back into the swing of things and have some real interaction with my fellow workers face to face rather than talking to them on the phone, text and emails... At least i have a job until i get myself something with more stability. The extra days off will give me a opportunity to look for something better...Even though everyone i work with are in the same frame of mind but, you have speculate to accumulate and get off your arse and find it.

A Enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a generous splash of Dana ~ English Leather ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.😎

Love, Dana English Leather, did you know it was, Elvis', signature scent? :)

Preshave: Splashes of water
Razor: Focus Dynamic R48 SE (Had this for about 2 years now, the design looks awesome, but it is absolutely useless, when it comes to blade changes, Italy, really f****d up on this one, and for the price, that is completely unacceptable, but it gets the job done though)
Blade: Treet 7 Days #1
Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Almond Creme
Brush: Semogue 620
Aftershave: Alum Block / Bonhair Blue Cream Cologne
Perfume: Hugo Boss Bottled Night

Have a nice day / evening, gentlemen, and gentletts :)

Feeling sharp is a state of mind. Looking sharp takes work.

Wed 7th SOTD
Soap Wholly Kaw Pompelmo
Brush Yaqi 26mm Moka Express 2 Band Badger
Razor Karve Brass SB-D
Blade Bolzano Superinox Inossidabile New & 1st use
Post & Aftershaves Ice Water + Stirling Witchhazel Orange Chill + Hyaluronic + Proraso Green Balm
Nice enough lather from the soap. Kinda light scent (not sure it's grapefruit) but good quality. Creamy and slick.
Shave with razor and the new blade was good. Crisply sharp, smooth, and comfortable in 3passes for a bbs to dfs result with 2 weepers. Very nice & cooling aftershaves! Rating 9/10
