Got the razor and scales on the bottom for a simple swap, same period, similar size, should be an easy swap-NOT
When I mocked them up, the blade is a tad long, it would hit the middle of the wedge hole, I have often shortened the wedge to accommodate the blade, but can't do that here.
This blade, like most of its time, has a big pivot hole, I decided to fill it with JB weld and drill the hole closer to the toe, this gains me 1mm of so of clearance by pushing the blade back some.
You can see how much play there is in the hole (1/16 punch)
Post fill and drilling
I also did a small re grind on the blade, kept it to 800 grit and just cleaned up the tang enough to make it period correct, did not a mirror finish on this blade as it is 200+ years old
Beautiful tortoise scales
All put together
