Slantember (Used to be September) Is For Slants! | Version 3 | 2020

Slantember 26 - Torqued by Tom / Gillette Silver Blue

Wanton Destruction cap, GSB on shave 4, Lucky Tiger Mollé 'cold cream' and that's the whole setup. Review - best fast Mollé shave ever. I didn't rinse the blade much, but the TbT cuts really well even while thoroughly coated with the cloggy Mollé cream. No alum feedback at all.

Slantember 27th, 2020

Rating: 9.5/10
Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - OPR brushless shave soap Bay Rum scent
Soap: Goodfellas' Smile Tallow No. 1
Brush: West Coast Shaving Honeycomb Tuxedo synthetic
Razor: Parker Semi-Slant w/ Blackland Dart handle
Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Thayers Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger Face Tonic
AS: Black Ship Grooming Captain Scurvy splash

Very close shave from the Parker Semi-Slant razor. Based upon this morning's shave, I think the Med Prep blade is a good match for that razor. Goodfellows' Smile Tallow No. 1 has an odd scent to it...hard to describe...some sweetness with a mild muskiness? But it lathered well, easily, and provided ample slickness and glide. No blood. Squiggy and Bloop were gone for so long...but when they returned they brought back this fellow. We've named him Ogie. He only whispers on occasion when it's dark...AHHHHH! What's that shadow over there? The window! The window!

Happy shaves, Everyone.

Got the PAA Ecliptic Galactic slant on deck for today's shave.

Not liking that gap, looks like the Grand Canyon. Recall this razor must be respected... Makes .95 look mild.

Isn't the shave on that model meant to be guided by the cap (i.e. cap riding), Mike?

If you're riding the cap it doesn't matter how big the gap is... it won't affect you.
