1st Ever Merkur Blade Shave Tonight

I got a sample pack and just tossed my first shaves with Feather blades. Super sharp and slightly irritating but I got some nice shaves.

Tonight I’m going with the Merkurs. Any reviews on the Merkurs?

For me they are OK, mid-tier blades but others like them. Worth a try!

I've only used two Merkurs, the samples that came with razors, and thought they were fine blades. However, I didn't feel any advantage over my favorite, Astra SP, and they are 5x the price.

To me the only razor that Merkur blades have been great in is the Merkur Vision. Then again that razor is a dream almost regardless of blade.

I agree they are mid-tier and over priced.

I used only one Merkur blade, the one that came with my 38HD. It was not a bad blade but they are expensive and there are better choices out there.

for the price green astra and yellow gillettes pretty much blow everything else out of the water ... agreed, Merkur are way too expensive to buy/use
