[Old beard]

it has come down to Gillette skinguard vs Mach3. I like the smoothness of the skinguard but I don’t like the cost. The Mach3 gives me a nice close shave but with very little more ruff ness. The cost is much less.

What is a guy to do? Cheap or spend more for very little more comfort..

What is your vote?

I personally would sacrifice a little comfort for a closer shave. But I do mean "a little". Blade feel is fine, but if my face takes too much of a toll with razor burn, ingrowns, etc., no deal!

Mach 3, there's plenty of time to be bullied by Gillette into having to have the skin guard, when they finally stop Mach 3 products.

I bought a Gillette Skinguard yesterday. They are new here in Australia and my work has the handle and one blade on at half price ($7.50) and then $10 off the pack of cartridges. When I checked the cost of the replacement carts I was quite shocked. Somehow I don’t think I will be buying replacements after giving it a test run.
