What's new

Safety Razor Acquisition Thread.

Bought this for the case (I’ve buffed it just a little). The latch spring has lost its tension. Nothing special about the ball end NEW LC inside. No blade case. Would this have originally held an LC?

Found these two in a local antique mall. Only markings on Krona are 1 1 M 5 and head is plain has Schick in Triangle in bottom of TTO knob so assuming in the 1964 to 1966 era. Probably made a mistake on the Tech as it was pretty disgusting and I got a little vigorous on cleaning & polishing the top of the head and it’s down to pure brass. I am guessing Tech is a contract Tech since gold plated and has triangular slots and solid handle.

Found a New Deluxe by its lonesome today. Very happy! Not much plating left, but hey, everything is mechanically sound! 57g is the weight, baseplate is 15mm on the bottom. This may be my first replate candidate, not sure. I'm a bit of a purist.[emoji16]

Very nice Adam ,flea market find?

Well it landed a day early :) It's a hand hammer finished William B. Kerr set (triple X's over a hatchet) and included a travel brush, the canteen New Improved, a toothbrush holder, a shoehorn, and two other containers (one for soap I'm guessing and the other? It's kind of tapered like a toothpaste tube so maybe?)...
that is a truly awesome set

Another beauty in near mint condition arrived today. This one has the previous owners name engraved on one of the doors. You don't see it that often and it only adds to the history of the razor which I think is pretty cool. It was listed as an 1960 F-4 but is clearly the more scarce 1958 D-1. I put in a bid just for fun not expecting to win but clearly no one was interested as it was just me and 1 other bidder.

Hello, it's not engraved, but made with a letter punch. It it Zolex? Or Zoler?

Thanks

Got it 2 weeks ago.
Mint Gillette New Deluxe Criterion without any typical crack on the handle.

The blade bank contains 5 yellow deluxe blades. I guess it has to have 10 to be a complete set instead of 5.
