What do you use to seal labels?

i see folks sealing labels to their stones to try and help preserve them, but after trying a few searches I haven’t been able to find what some of you are using.

So, what do you recommend for sealing labels please?

I use translucent glue, glue for the base where you want to place it, then glue on top of the label.
Works a treat.

Have to be careful, not all labels are created equally. Two different labels from one manufacturer can behave totally different when using the same products. Always test.

And make sure you get uniform coat that covers all the edges. I have a hone with a zerox label (yeah, a photocopy of an original) that looks like it had laquer poured over it. The edges didn't get covered well so water still gets beneath the finish and soaks into part of the label.

I used multiple light coasts of rattle can spray lacquer. I over sprayed slightly on to work surfaces then lapped it off. It is working very well.
