Proraso is a rich-lathering shave cream. (It too reminds me a little of gingerbread, like the Gillette Barbershop foam.) It does lather well in hard water. Ordered a test kit. Will soon have the hardness number of the local water. (The water department is big on the purity and safety of our water, but isn't clear about its hardness.)
