Body Soap of the Day

Question for Savon de Marseille users: I’ve tried Castile and other olive oil soaps in the shower. They lather well, rinse off clean and leave a nice feeling. But the soap cake cracks and splits, or it softens and gets slimy and mushy. Is this what happens to Savon de Marseille? If so, do you just put up with it, or do you do something to help it out? Thanks.

did not use yet, but pretty impressed with the detail in the mold of this penhaligon's bath soap bar!
just got it for a reasonable ebay offer; pretty good shape despite likely years of storage.
slight flaking apparent; scent still there.

Superficial fissures, but never separation (into pieces), ime.
No significant mush formation, but I leave bars on ridged surface (for ventilation).
