INFO! Rockwell's Late April Fool's Prank or Security Breach?

I received a sketchy e-mail from Rockwell, I doubt that it's a late april fool's prank, maybe a hack? Or some guy trying to ruin my day who knows. See photos below for context.

Crisis averted perhaps... After reading it through he is mentioning about some "sexy photos of mine" well there might some kind of pornography here and there I don't think that's the matter, anyway did any of you lads got the same mail or a similar one? Sounds like a bait to me.

Just got this email and didn't believe a word of it but logged on here just to see if anyone else had received.

Thanks for posting the info.

Very spammy. I often get emails from PayPal and Apple that are not really them.

Dishonest people in this world. Sad.

Got the same e-mail and figured it was a hack or spoof. Opened it against my better judgement and realized my first instinct was correct. Immediately closed and deleted it. For safety's sake ran a couple of malware/antivirus programs which turned up nothing.

Anyway, many thanks for sharing the results of your follow-up.

I have received similar emails a number of times all asking for money. Usually around $500 and say they will expose me and shutdown my computer. I am not intimidated and my computer is still working. Surprising even one claimed to have a password and displayed it for me and yeah it was a password I use for generic things and nothing for ordering. Not sure how they come across that but makes you wonder. I get a lot from Apple that are fake saying I owe money, a number of them from Amazon that I won gift cards and such. Look at the addresses and they are usually spelled wrong and have funny characters in them.

600$ must be a magic number that makes them guilty of a more serious crime that would actually get taken seriously.

I use Gmail and it catches most of that crap thankfully.

Passwords are easy if you have them saved anywhere or ever use them on a site that's been hacked or over an unencrypted page.
