Vintage English Leather shave soap

I just bought a vintage NOS puck of English Leather shave soap on the Bay. Has anyone else used this soap before, and if so how did you like it? The seller says this is from the 1970’s.

Thanks everyone, if you’re curious about finding a vintage puck of EL shave soap type in the words “English Leather shave bowl refill” in the eBay search engine. They typically cost between $30-34 in NOS condition.

I think you'll enjoy the EL shave soap.
Very buttery, good lather, nice EL scent.
Fits nicely in the plastic EL shave soap dish or anything similar.

I should receive my English Leather shave soap in the mail tomorrow; I will keep everyone informed on how it smells and lathers as well as my thoughts on it.

Just got my vintage English Leather shave soap; along with a copy of A Safety Razor Compendium in the mail today. Even in the cellophane wrapper the scent of English Leather is front and center. I also got a small dish to hold my EL shave soap in at a local thrift shop for 54 cents. I’ll shave with this soap tomorrow morning and let you all know how it works.
