Well, it came with cocobolo grips and a smooth frontstrap. The Hogue palmswells and grip tape were an easy add on. I like the Novaks so they stayed on.

I bet you forget it's there sometimes when you're carrying it.
I have one of the 342, Ti Lite models. and at 11 oz you don't notice it. When you touch it off watch out.
You will love the 442. Been carrying mine longer than I clearly remember. Easy to shoot, carry, and maintain. The .38 has withstood the test of time as an effective cartridge. A true classic.
