Sandalwood scent of one with latherability of another...

The reason I prefer pucks is that I don't end up with unnecessary plastic waste after each one is finished. We like to keep our waste to a minimum where possible. Since pucks are an option, it doesn't quite justify the other way. And I did have the T&H after shave balm but again, one of the most...

Sandalwood scent of one with latherability of another...

Sounds great, but particularly to what I'm asking, does it smell like Truefitt and Hill's Sandalwood?

Two unrelated questions, alum and bowls

No. In fact it's the only thing that hasn't and I've never kept undershirts for this long remaining perfectly white with no more fading than would happen naturally.

Sandalwood scent of one with latherability of another...

I have found that the Sandalwood DR Harris puck soap lathers far far better than the Truefitt I was using (well, to be fair, the Truefitt didn't lather at all) and has been a lovely experience all year. The only thing I'm wondering is if someone maybe knows of another puck soap that has the same...

Two unrelated questions, alum and bowls

It's been over a year and through several seasons this recipe has been amazing. We had maybe 4 tbsp of broken bits of stone, over a year later we are JUST NOW getting to the end of the second tbsp. Just incredible. The money and plastic saved in deodorants, even if it was just the packaging of...

    Shopping from Canada

I'm asking another vendor I know to see what they say. There are so many people insisting they get different shaves from the two blades that I can't believe THAT many people would be fooling themselves.

    Shopping from Canada

Wow, well that solved it pretty well, didn't it! Thanks, good to know. I can get the blue much easier. So I guess then everybody saying they feel different is having some kind of psychological effect? I joked around with a friend once, a hairstylist, that it would be so funny if there was...

    Shopping from Canada

The problem with that link is that there is nobody speaking from any degree of authority on the subject. There is a lot of speculation but nobody saying they've spoken with them or that they have information from a reliable source, maybe a retailer, etc.

    Shopping from Canada

Those aren't Personna Reds. Yeah, I saw that. (Actually those are blues as well) But the problem for me is, even if they were Reds... 200 blades... that would last me so long at the rate I shave. And the reality is I've never used a single type of blade for longer than a year. I'd be afraid...

    Shopping from Canada

Are there shops in Canada or shops in the US that will ship to Canada that I can get Personna Red blades from? I know Try A Blade in the States, but none of the other places I know in Canada sell them. Any help from other people in Canada for good blade shops online?

Looking for an affordable backup razor

Hmm...wouldnt know what to look for but I can start to do some research. Last time I used one was 20 years ago when I worked in the watch and jewelry department of a department store where I grew up in Toronto.
