I’ve got 100 each of the RPL and Voskhod. RPL a little smoother, Voskhod a little sharper. I got two tucks of the RSS, but I don’t get along well with them. I’ll try them again in Slantember and OCtober when I’m using a lot of different razors, see if they do better outside my main rotation.
I hear you loud and clear. Shaved with my Henkotsu kamisori two nights ago, too late, too sleepy to be taking that sharp pointed devil on. I‘m still sporting a long scratch on the right lower neck. No blood at least.

My ‘scuttle’. That’s a Vollrath 4 oz prep bowl on top and a pewter trinket ‘Jefferson Cup’ from Monticello on the bottom. (And a high quality rubber band off a bunch of asparagus.) I mainly face lather, but it keeps my brush warm between passes and makes/holds a little lather when needed.
I like those Sunday Shaver scales (and the toe pin), but heftier and shorter make more sense to me. I use a Dovo Barbarossa detail razor sometimes when I really want SHORT.
I might own fewer modern 5/8 razors if I had been able to predict my practical preferences when I started with SRs.
