    What's your soap for today?

A sample of Barrister and Mann's Reserve Waves. Very nice aquatic scent (some say it's based on Gillette Wild Rain).

    SV vs. MdC

I have both and love both, MdC Agrumes and SV Opuntia (4.3). Both lather easily, both shave smoothly, both rinse off easily. The SV does have some extra post-shave conditioning over MdC, but that also means the MdC makes me feel like a have a 'cleaner' face. If that feel doesn't matter so much...

Sandalwood: The most meaningless word in wetshaving?

I just thought that first person with the sunglasses was a Soap Blade, and ready to sword down some imposter fragrance heads, or something like that.

Wolfman: On the waiting list. Questions.

I have both the WR2 in both 1.05 and 1.15. I'd like to help, but I've never used the R89. Have you used any other razors? Some quick searches makes me think that the R89 is similar to a Karve B plate or Rockwell 3 or 4? If that's accurate, then I would recommend either ... wait for it ...

    Makers of knots

Turn n Shave makes great knots too. I have both a 26 mm Quartermoon fan (synthetic) and a 26mm Shoat/Boar. Custom shave brush maker by TurnNShave on Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/shop/TurnNShave?ref=shop_sugg

    Maggard 2 Band or SHD?

This is my 26mm SHD. I set it 17mm deep into the handle (the usual, I think, is 15mm). It's a lovely, soft badger. [Handle is bog oak to which I applied pure tung oil, just in case sitting around for thousands of years in liquid didn't make it water resistant enough].

Sandalwood: The most meaningless word in wetshaving?

I am no expert, but I love this aftershave (bought it in early September). It appears to be the real deal in Sandalwood and the smell is awesome. Could not be happier with this product. I use it with, among other products, my Barrister and Mann Soft Heart Sandalwood. The soap is fantastic, but...

    Turn n Shave Shoat Knot

@Adjustingtolife Tough call. TnS has a full gel, no gel, and half. I got the half. With my prep as described, it was ready to use and lather after 4 uses and dry downs. I think anyone can do that. The great thing about this knot is you can put in a custom handle, which is what I was wanting. Is...

Knots Similar to Muhle Synthetic Fiber or Shavemac Synthetic?

Turn n Shave might have something similar, either as a bulb or fan—the full moon or silver synth. https://www.etsy.com/listing/547121718/knots?ref=shop_home_active_3&crt=1&variation0=777905664

A new brush for birthday, Edwin Jagger synthetic?

How could you tell the fibers were glued upside down? Was the band down at the bottom of the fiber? Just asking because my EJ STF is wonderfully soft on the fingers, but does feel a little 'pokey' during face lathering. Certainly not scratchy at all though. I still prefer my Turn N Shave...
