I started a new job so not sure how much downtime I will have over xmas. But I have 2 sets of scales that need to be finished, several straights that need touch up on the hones. So I am hoping to get some of that done.
Traveling again this week for work so Feather SS or a DE shave. Tonight was the Feather SS, Stirling orange chill, and Gillette cool wave balm to finish it off. I always get a small weeper or two with the Feather, but always get a very close shave.
Slurry is not needed on synthetic hones. Just add water and have at it.

You can use wet/dry sandpiper for lapping the Naniwa - 400 grit or so works. Just make sure it's stuck to a flat surface like a marble floor tile or even a stone countertop should be fine.
