    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

I seem to be an exception in this thread. I like my MJ-90 quite a lot. I get consistent, good to very good shaves with it. But I also understand why people don't like it at all, as it is very mild. Is it "WAY more efficient" than the DE89 as stated in the product page ? I don't think so...

Do You Drink Your Coffee Black?

For me it depends on how it was prepared. Espresso and Aeropress = Black Filter, French Press = With some milk or cream, but no sugar

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

It should be pretty standard. The handle is available at 30$ here : RazoRock Polished Titanium HALO Handle – ItalianBarber It says: The handle is drilled with the M5 x .8 spec so it will fit most modern razors including RazoRock, Merkur, Edwin Jagger, Muhle, iKon, Wolfman.

Another comparison. I think this MJ-90 is milder than the baby smooth.

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

Today I got another great shave with the MJ-90 and a Feather blade. 3 pass with some touch ups. I think it is similar to my Rockwell 6s with the plate R2 or R1, but I will have to compare them to be sure. I find it to be less efficient but way more comfortable than my de89. I do understand...

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

I wouldn't call it a failure personally. I only used it 3 times. Time will tell.

Indian Gillette Wilkinson : 1 good shave and 1 not so good Feather : 1 great shave Angle : shallower is better than steeper As always, YMMV. I will continue to update this thread after a few more shaves.

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

I just finished my 3rd shave with the MJ-90 and it was a great shave this time. I think there were a few flaws with my previous shaves. I used a new Feather blade rather than an Indian Gillette Wilkinson and used a shallower angle. I've got probably 99% of a BBS, which I rarely acheive or even...

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

To clarify my impressions : My first shave was good, my second wasn't very efficient, but still without any trace of irritation. I don't want people to think this razor is junk. It is very well machined and looks very good to me. As for the quality of the shave ? Too early for me to make my...

    Razorock MJ-90 Stainless DE89 variant

My first shave went well. Mild, but efficient. On my second shave I had to do a 4 pass plus touch ups to get a satisfying result. I don't really know what changed... But even with 4 passes there was no irritation. I will continue to play with it. We'll see.
