We had a cluster in my workplace the first week of October (no millennials). Some people had mild symptoms. I'm 66 and reasonably good health but I had a long bout with it that included pneumonia and blood clots. I'm doing much better but still dealing with some coughing and exhaustion.
Here is my $.02 worth as someone who does not chase BBS at all. I never notice how close of a shave I've had until about an hour after I shave. I notice even more 24 hours after a shave. My beard is light and slow growing so 24 hours after a close shave there is just not that much there to shave.
Unfortunately my sense of smell continues to deteriorate with age. My choice of lathers is based almost completely on performance. It hasn't effected my sense of taste though, and definitely no my appetite.

Another new old guy here. I've been doing this about four months. You have a great selection to choose from. I started with Derby Extra and Shark Super Stainless because they are reputed to be the least sharp and the most forgiving. it worked for me but blades are very subjective.
