Tonight's razor surprised me a bit with a first-rate shave.
J. Chapel of Nice,
Mystery "Set in Rubber" brush with Shave Forge White and Black 20 mm knot, PdP 63.
Perhaps not the prettiest razor at my disposal, but she's come a long way!
Brummel Werk 35 with Kirinite scales and yes, a pink wedge.
Gillette Fat Boy,
A&E Peach Cognac, Ever-Ready brush (stained with homemade black walnut dye and steel wool/vinegar solution) with Red Fox synth knot.
Okay. You realize that you have asked me to expose my actual self to all the forum members that might have held my online self in slightly less than negative regard, right? WTH, you seem like a nice guy!
Me, too! You might recall it came with a lot of brushes. I didn't know what it was, thought it was two different types of wood until I sanded it. That standard 2-band Maggard knot is no slouch, either. I wouldn't spend the money on the high density, myself. Yes, I find myself reaching for that...
Old time luxury today, for a rare afternoon shave!
William S. Turner "Rely on Me." Okay, Bill.
Kampfe Brothers lather catcher with freshly stropped wedge,
Mystery "Arrow 10" 2 band (wood and horn), whipping up some Stirling Green.
Back to Big Brown tonight. Gem Junior Bar, Edwin Jagger Best (surprisingly good, for best!) and the first time for Stirling Green. Sure does smell nice! That's good, because I sprung for the EDT as well, sight unsmelled.
