Thinking about trading my Rooney S1, S1

I was thinking about a Vulfix, as I had always heard that they were very floppy. I always used to think that I liked small scrubby brushes. I had a Savile Row, the one dubbed Lil Bambino, but it was too scrubby for me. Then I bought this Rooney S1, S1 and find that it's too scrubby for me as...

Thinking about trading my Rooney S1, S1

OK guys, I need some help. I have a Rooney Style 1, size 1 that I bought about 6-7 months ago. Since I bought the Rooney I received a Edwin Jagger best badger brush. I’m not sure the size, but it’s the one you can get from the Duluth Trading company. The Edwin Jagger brush is a little bigger...

How long does it take for you to Shave?

I feel like I've finally perfected my shaving routine, and can get it done in 15 minutes. That's for a 3 pass shave, using brush and soap and lathering on my face. I do shave in the shower, and find that it saves me quite a bit of time in preparation and clean up.

Soap buildup on razor (Merkur Progress)

Hadn't thought of a pipe cleaner, that's a good idea. Thanks, I may give that a shot.

Soap buildup on razor (Merkur Progress)

Hi all, it's been awhile since I've posted, hope all are doing well. Quick question, I use a Merkur Progress, and am a 100% soap user. Every week when I change the blade I spray the Progress with Scrubbing Bubbles, and lightly scrub with a tooth brush to get off all the soap build up...

    Best solution for ingrown hairs

I’ve have issues with ingrowns ever since I started shaving, oh so many years ago. I still have them, but after shaving with a DE for almost a year, I can say that my ingrown problem is much better. My only advice and it’s my only advice because it’s the only thing that has worked for me, is to...

    What Are You Reading?

I absolutely love the James Bond films, by far my favorite film franchise, but I have never read any of the books by Fleming. Are they really good? I know some of them were written quite a while ago, did they age well?

    What Are You Reading?

Just finished reading I Am Legand. With all the press about the movie, thought I'd give the book a read.

" Merkur Progress Adjustable Safety Razor "

1 Merkur Progress 2 Merkur Progress 3 Merkur Progress The Merkur Progress is the greatest shaving tool ever invented. I started out on a Progress, then moved to a 66 Slim Adjustable, A Super Speed and a Merkur 38c, but found that the Progress was better then everything I tried. As...

    Shaving in the shower

I always shave in the shower. Have done so for years, and really don't find it any different using my DE then when I was using a Mach 3. Being in the shower is eaiser for me and it helps me keep my beard nice and wet and I have no issues with rinsing my razor or my face between passes.

    Mwf

Preach it brother, Mitchell's Wool Fat is awesome. It does take a bit more water then any other soap I've tried, but it is one fine, FINE, shaving soap.
