I'd go the GSB or Voskhod. I have a Merkur slant 39C and have had really great success with GSB's, 7 O'clock Blacks, Med Preps, Perma Sharp Supers, and Bolzanos. IMO, stay away from the Feather in this razor. Didn't work well for me.
Try Grand Havana by Mickey Lee Soapworks. It's Tobacco and it definitely has a Vanilla background to it. That is what I pick up from it. You won't be disappointed in this one. Great soap company. Also PPA has Cavendish, I own both and use them religiously.
GSB's are excellent blades! I'm a 3 and out guy. I can get 3-3pass shaves and they're gone. Not worth stretching it out for me and ruining the experience. From what I've seen and all the blades I've tried, that's my magic number.
