"Double Ring" refers to two rings on the razor neck. The razor was triple silver plated. The design changed by Gillette w/out fanfare to a "Single Ring" in mid 1906 reportedly for ease of manufacturing. Est only 500,000 Double Rings were made 1903-06. SN# is located on inside of bottom knob barrel.
