Hello,
it's an aluminum Rocket HD (aka. paperclip), most likely from 1953.
The case is earlier, for a No 88 raised flat bottom New.

Very nice Rocket, mine was a very fine shaver! Enjoy that one, the British made Gillette razors were some of the finest DE's ever produced!

The LD should be like the HD, Parat or 40s style Rocket which all shave the same. I would wager it is the same razor head on different handles.

Thank you, this is the best forum for shaving enthusiasts in my opinion. Tons of great knowledge.
I have an early Super Speed that came to me with a splotch of red paint on the handle. The first few times I used it, I thought I needed a medic!
