Is it possible to not

get a good shave with Razo Rock soaps? I have about 5 RR soaps and they
always give me a great shave. They lather quickly, provide good glide and
cushion and have some pretty good scents. XXX & Mudder Focker are my
favorites but I also get a good shave from the non tallow RR's. A new Astra SP
blade and some good lather from the lanolin based Santal Royale and I'm set
for the day. I'll say that they compare favorably to the newer formula soaps
that cost a bit more. And/of course, ymmv.

Just shaved with Emperor yesterday and it performed very well. Slickness was fantastic. I’ve noticed Razorock soaps don’t do as well in hard water.

I have very hard water so perhaps I don't know what I'm missing, although
I did use some distilled water a few times. With all of my soaps I just wet
my brush good and give it a shake or two, I figure maybe a lot of water makes
up for the quality of the water; probably not but I seem to get good lathers as
I load my soap rather heavy

I haven't had one RR soap that either didn't irritate my face or trigger a headache!

I haven't taken a chance on another in the last two years

I have almost all of RR soaps. I like the scents, they lather well and generate a good slick lather at par with most artisans. I get a lot from a small almond size dollop. They're wonderful and work great for me ! End it with the matching AS - great face feel.

I have never tries RR soaps, I might have to break out of my comfort zone and see if I am missing out.

I currently own Mudder Focker and WTP Barbershop Blue; with the other 2 WTP soaps put away for my birthday/holidays. I really enjoy the RR soaps; I even ordered their XXX soap and aftershave from Razor Emporium using their discount code for Black Friday. I find that the WTP soaps are great at loading on the puck while Mudder Focker works best when I take a small dollop and lather it in my scuttle. Ymmv.

They are relatively simple (in terms of ingredients) compared with other top tier artisan soaps but they are also relatively inexpensive. They are good soaps, not the best post-shave but very reliable. I enjoy having RR soaps in my rotation.

All RazoRock soaps are fantastic performers and all are proudly made in Italy. My top two picks are the "glass jar" Series: Santa Maria del Fiore and The Dead Sea.

These soaps, with this brush, and this blade ----- always a sublime shave !
