Vanilla

I'm looking for an EdT/C/P that matches Stirling's Vanilla Sandalwood. For those who haven't tried it, it's heavy on the vanilla, light on the wood, and unabashedly sweet. If you're afraid of smelling like cake batter and ice cream, it's not for you.

I know that's not the most sophisticated approach to vanilla, but hey--I'm sophisticated in my own way. :)

Have you tried a Vanilla Bean extract? :wink2:

Seriously, you may want to try Spicebomb Viktor & Rolf, or Tabacco Vanille - Tom Ford.

I also like Eau de Baux - L'Occitane, but it is muted compared to the other two.

On my skin, vanilla goes stale rather quickly. For sweet mostly on a Sunday I use Joop Homme. For a sweet Oriental try Tabac Original. Or for an all-in-one sweet, Oriental fougere try Joop Homme Wild. Now I usually run for the hills when I hear "fougere". Well you know, it's so common and naff isn't it. But I got a free sample spritz of Joop Home Wild in Boots and added it to my list of fragrances to get.

Try Kanon Norwegian Wood for something inexpensive (cheap). Longevity isn't great but you can spray liberaly at this price.

Givenchy Pi is a good one.
Also Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. No vanilla in the notes, but lots of tonka, which comes off as a creamy vanilla.

Raw Vanilla, I believe it's by Coty... it delivers mucho Vanilla sweetness.

Didn't know it was discontinued, best I found was here, I've bought from the seller and they're legit; Spray http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raw-Vanilla-by-Coty-Cologne-Spray-For-Men-1-7-oz-/111677084342

Splash is ~$13 less than Amazon @~$61.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raw-Vanilla...391?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3aa951f35f

Sold! I usually run from anything that includes musk in the description, but I guess most people don't detect musk in it--and at the price I'll give it a shot.
