What's new

Does anyone recognize this strop?

I came across this in an antique store today. It's in pretty nice shape, made in America, but you can tell it's seen some use. It appears to be well crafted with nice leather and the secondary cloth strop looks like it was impregnated with graphite. A Google search didn't find anything for Illinois Beauty, so I was wondering if any of our knowledgeable members had seen one before. Thanks for looking.

Can't really say, other than that Eagle emblem seems to be that of IRSCO, the Illinois Razor Strop Company. Maybe an early Illinois strop, or one of their many variants back in the day?
