I finally got my first soap and a wood bowl designed to hold it in. So far, I have been using Poraso red and green, but I decided to get MWF refill to add into a wood bowl because I have heard lots of good things about MWF.

My question here is should I keep the paper around the soap while in the bowl or should I discard the paper altogether?

IMHO, Ditch the paper, its only gonna make a mess and it will keep the soap from sticking to the bowl. If it doesn't stick, its gonna start to spin when you're loading.
