Thater 4125-2 Eye Candy

My latest acquisition Thater 4125/2 2 band 26 knot/54 loft bulb

There is not much to be said about this brush that has not been said already. It is nice all rounder with exceptional soft tips (the softest I have tried although I have Shavemac D01 3-band on the way so that might change :) It feels softer than my M7 Manchurian but Thater has less backbone and it is slightly less dense. Enjoy pre-bloom post-bloom and group shots. Feel free to post your beloved thaters.

Between this and my Duke 3 in 2 band, I'm a happy camper. I still love my 49125/2 and /0, but the 2 band is überific.

Threads like this one are the reason that SBAD is the hardest (and one of the costliest) ADs to overcome!

Beautiful brush!

I have a Thater 4125/2. I intended to use this (and my 2-band Rooney) with soap due to the stronger backbone, but I still have trouble getting a good lather - the lather comes out too airy/bubbly. Maybe I'm not patient enough to take the time to build a good lather with soap. I have tried a batch of good soaps, both artisan-types and traditional British soaps, but still haven't been able to match the thickness/richness of the best creams.

Practice makes perfect. I used my new Thater yesterday with MWF and lather was nice and thick. Airy or bubbly lather is usually a sign of too little product and too much water.

Yep, the 49125 plexi handle with a 2 band fan would be so gorgeous. I've been pining for that particular version for a while now. Helloooo Thäter?

YES, YES, YES! I would be all over this brush if they were ever made available. While an excellent brush, theres times I think my 49125/2 is still in my stable becuase of that gorgeous handle alone.. My own 4125/2 in 2 band bulb easily gets the most action out of ALL my brushes. I love it that much.

I have three Thater brushes in my collection. I present the 4292/6, 4376/6 and the ebony.

The ebony in the photos developed a small crack at the top. Thater handled the problem perfectly: I sent them my brush and they sent me a new one. I am pleased to say that my new brush has the Thater logo stamped discreetly and tastefully on the base of the handle.
