Calling all Double Ring Serial Numbers!

I thought it would be interesting to see who had the LATEST serial number on their Double Ring. I have acquired a very very early Single Ring with serial 404052. We know that Gillette produced 400,000 razors in 1906 and they switched to the Single Ring sometime in 1906. The first serial in 1906 was 370425, which was a Double Ring. So the last Double Ring occurred sometime between 370425 and my Single Ring (a difference of 33,627 units).

So, what's your Double Ring serial number? Maybe yours was the last one made if it's 404051!

Edit: Since nobody knows exactly when Gillette switched from the Double Ring to the Single Ring, we may just be able to figure this out for all future generations!

no...1904(the number system started-25425-45424) to 1906 the double ring was made.....in 1906 the single ring started at 370425-k927217,m1 to m999999,n1-n458887

Hmm, somehow Achim has a 1905 Single Ring with serial #337905. How is that possible if the first Single Ring wasn't made until 1906, according to Krumholz?

I am not seeing it

The current serial number dating list is in need of corrections, as my ABC set with a dated packers ticket shows

I don't mind updating the wiki if you want to clarify what those changes should be (and, of course, everyone agrees). I know I, for one, wouldn't mind know the facts behind all of this serial number business! LOL, I had not idea I was so far out in left field.

it didnt, it seems that in 1906 both were made, as the single started in 1906.

Alex, I respectfully submit that the Single Rings started in 1905. Several people in this thread have stated they have a Single Ring with serial numbers from 1905.
