Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

As I was doing some research on what soaps I may want to purchase (or find used) I came across Blenheim Bouquet. However the new formulation seems to have mixed results at best and I certainly think I would stay away given the cost.

Has anyone purchased this recently and to what result (as compared to the old formulation which seems to have glowing reviews).

What about the new formulation of English Fern?

Someone mentioned grating a puck of new EF with a stick of tallow palmolive with great results. Only drawback was the aesthetics.

Not worth it. Either one. They don't lather as well.

+1. I believe someone also talked about doing it with an AOS unscented puck. If you don't mind the confetti look it could be good. For the price though, I would just get a different soap and buy the edt or aftershave. If I'm going to spend that much on a puck of soap, I want it to work with out having to make my own 'improvements'.
