I had Bob's Razors make me this Amboyna Burl Handled "New" razor. What do yo think?

No, that design evolved onto the Bull Mastiff line of handles.
The Bull Mastiff line with it modular design allows for less waste of materials, separate knobs means less metal end up in the chip pan.
The separate knob also allows for greater versatility, client has a choice of knurled, fluted, polished or wooden knobs.
Ease of construction, this design allow me to make up the barrels in a few stock lengths, 2 1/8. 2 1/2 and 3 1/8 then add the knob style of the clients choice.
Here is my Ultra Light Bull Mastiff (two different heads Gold Old Style and NEW, along with what is now TexBilly's Standard Bull Mastiff.

You know you can swap the knobs and change the weight and balance of the razor.
I often use my BM UL with a nickel knob.
I know. Using the Ultralight after using other razors is like stepping into a nice race car.

Your present work is better. But I really like the HD style handle. It is more plain than exotic wood - but effective.
That's one of my first efforts.
I believe my present works is much better.
